The house is conceived as a highly articulated tropical screen volume, where architecture, structure, and landscape are integrated into a singular façade expression. The building is defined by a perforated concrete envelope, forming a deep, gridded exoskeleton that wraps the primary living spaces while mediating light, ventilation, and privacy.
This modular lattice façade creates a strong geometric identity, with recessed openings that generate a dynamic interplay of light and shadow throughout the day. The depth of the grid acts as a passive environmental filter, reducing solar heat gain while allowing controlled views outward. The façade reads as both structure and screen, giving the building a monolithic yet porous character.

Within this framework, layered planting is strategically inserted, transforming the façade into a living vertical landscape. Trees and shrubs are embedded at various levels, softening the rigidity of the grid and reinforcing a biophilic connection. The greenery extends outward from the building, blurring the boundary between architecture and nature while enhancing thermal comfort.
The interior is conceived as a calm, light-filled double-volume space, anchored by a strong visual connection to a landscaped internal courtyard. The composition emphasises spatial clarity and vertical openness, allowing natural light to penetrate deep into the interior while framing greenery as a central focal point.
A restrained material palette defines the space. Textured off-form concrete walls and light-toned flooring establish a neutral, monolithic backdrop, against which the warmth of timber furniture and detailing is subtly introduced. The dining table sits centrally within the volume, reinforcing a sense of symmetry and gathering, while its organic timber finish softens the otherwise minimal setting.

An indoor–outdoor living space on the attic seamlessly bridges the space between the pool and a family room . The concrete trellis above the pool reflects the concrete screen on elevation, framing the house on different planes. The design is defined by clean lines, muted materials, and filtered natural light, with a restrained palette of stone, concrete, and soft furnishings. Full-height glazing and integrated planters bring lush greenery into the space, while the adjacent pool and shaded deck create a relaxed, resort-like atmosphere.
