JGP Architecture (S) Pte. Ltd.
The proposed development is a mixed-use resort designed as an extension of the existing National Service Resort & Country Club (NSRCC), offering a diverse range of accommodation, recreational, and commercial facilities. Nestled along Changi Coastal Walk to the northwest, the site is bordered by the Coastal Park Connector, seamlessly integrating with its natural surroundings.
The site is organized into three distinct clusters: Accommodation, Recreation, and F&B. Our design aims to ensure seamless connectivity between these zones through sheltered walkways and barrier-free accessibility, creating a cohesive and inclusive environment for all visitors.
The site planning is designed to maximize sea views while maintaining a clear distinction between the recreational and accommodation clusters. Thoughtful integration of both horizontal and vertical circulation ensures seamless navigation throughout the development. Additionally, select buildings feature roof terraces, offering visitors elevated spaces to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
The proposed boulevard entrance to the development is accessed from Changi Coastal Walk, guiding visitors into the resort. The Recreation Block is strategically angled to form a striking backdrop, enhancing the arrival experience. Undulating feature ceilings, inspired by the site's natural contours, provide both visual interest and sheltered walkways, seamlessly blending architecture with the landscape.
At the drop-off point, visitors are seamlessly connected to the northern wing—housing the reception, archery range, gym, and kids’ play area—and the southern wing, which features a Chinese restaurant and paintball zone. A striking spiral staircase serves as a focal point, leading guests to the second-storey activity halls and a roof terrace, where they can take in the expansive landscaping and sea views.
On the eastern wing, a secondary drop-off point provides convenient access to additional recreational amenities, including prawning, billiards, and a fishing pond. The second storey is thoughtfully designed with an external perimeter corridor lined with planters, enhancing the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.
The gazebos are thoughtfully positioned to follow the natural contours of the site, seamlessly integrating with terraced landscapes and feature trees that provide shaded outdoor seating. Designed to encourage family gatherings, these spaces offer a tranquil setting where visitors can enjoy the beauty of nature while experiencing the sights and sounds of planes soaring overhead.
Lush greenery is integrated into the external perimeter corridors and roof terrace, embracing a biophilic design approach that strengthens visitors' connection to nature. The material palette—including off-form concrete, cement screed flooring, timber-look tiles, and aluminum screens—is carefully selected for durability and low maintenance, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and long-term sustainability.
At the heart of the accommodation cluster, a centralized oasis pool provides direct access from the surrounding units, enhancing the sense of exclusivity and retreat. The accommodations are categorized into four distinct types—Villas, Guestrooms, Chalets and Bungalows—each tailored to offer a unique stay experience.
Villas
The two VIP Villas are strategically positioned at the site's lowest point, offering a secluded and tranquil retreat. Designed for both luxury and comfort, the open-plan living and dining area creates a spacious, family-friendly gathering space that seamlessly extends to a private swimming pool.
A striking spiral staircase, set within a private garden, leads to the upper-level private spaces and an open roof terrace, enhancing the sense of exclusivity. The luxurious open-concept kitchen flows effortlessly into the dining area, framing picturesque views of the feature landscape.
Guest Room
The block is strategically angled to offer glimpses of the main pool and landscaped field, enhancing the visual connection to the surroundings. Designed primarily for young couples, the layout is seamless and thoughtfully equipped with hotel-style amenities for a comfortable stay.
A frosted glass wall in the bathroom allows natural light to filter through while maintaining privacy, creating an airy and spacious ambiance. Similarly, a frosted partition between the bedroom and bathroom extends the perception of space, offering subtle visual connectivity while preserving a sense of intimacy.
Chalet
Designed with direct access to the swimming pool, the chalets cater primarily to young families and teenagers, providing an inviting space for small gatherings. The bathroom is strategically positioned adjacent to the pool, ensuring convenience for post-swim cleanups while remaining close to the communal gathering area, enhancing both functionality and comfort.
Bungalow
The bungalows are thoughtfully positioned parallel to the coastline, maximizing views of the open sea. Each unit features direct access to the common pool through a private alcove pool, enhancing the sense of exclusivity and relaxation.
The living area has been reimagined with a double-volume design, creating an airy, light-filled gathering space that enhances the overall sense of openness and connection to the natural surroundings.
